This Thanksgiving, we rented a cabin in the Canadian Rockies for a week. A life-changing experience. There’s something inspiring about being so close to complete isolation from other humans. We ran into a herd of elk several times during our stay, as they were camped on the same ridge. That’s a big animal. Being so close, it was easy to see that they have an adorable, heart-shaped patch of lighter brown fur on their rear ends.

I shot and edited this video of our trip. After traveling with my camera, I always end up wishing I’d used it more, and had it with me more often. That being said, I’m happy with the result.
